ADFA offers various workshops and conventions through-out the year both internally and externally. These events are designed to give highly motivated dancers the unique opportunity to receive intensive pre-professional training and performing experience.
Arts Alive- Is an in-house workshop where we bring in professional chorographers from all over the country to expand the knowledge and abilities of our students. The comprehensive curriculums include daily technique class, Pointe, Variation, Contemporary Jazz, hip hop and tap. This exceptional program has been created with internationally renowned guest artists and master teachers who join the outstanding faculty at ADFA.
NYCDA introduces the most comprehensive dance workshop and convention. This Dance Intensive will offer aspiring dancers the opportunity to experience the unique talents and techniques of NYC dance - first hand. No other program can promise this variety of prestigious dance educators coupled with the countless cultural offerings of New York City. Classes will be taught in jazz, Ballet, Tap, Contemporary, Musical Theater, Modern, Hip-Hop, Voice, Stretching Techniques, Auditioning, Theatre Arts, Partnering, Choreography, and More!!

Expect to study with 15-20 of New York's most prominent dance educators. Past special guests and seminars have included Audition Workshops for the Broadway companies of “In The Heights ”, “Legally Blonde ”, “Chitty Chitty Bang Bang”, “The Music Man”, “Oklahoma” and “42nd Street”, as well as “The Radio City Christmas Spectacular”. NYCDA Summer Intensive dancers have also worked with choreographers and dance captains from “Tarzan”, “Wicked”, “Movin' Out”, “Fosse” and “The Lion King”. Additional special opportunities have included workshops with dancers and choreographers from such notable companies as Hubbard Street, Twyla Tharp, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and the David Parsons Company.

Now in its 32nd year, Showstopper will host over 100,000 talented dancers from nearly all 50 states, and many countries abroad. At Showstopper dance competitions, performers of all ages are able to display their talents in a healthy and exciting atmosphere and use the experience to improve their skills and confidence.All dancers are to aim high, think big, live life to the fullest, and never ever give up on their dreams.
